Description
During the training, participants will learn about key components for effective CSWB planning. They will gain an understanding of developing a theory of change, identifying intended impacts, priorities, and strategies for driving positive outcomes within their communities. Participants will learn about identifying evidence-informed approaches and practices, understanding the crime prevention spectrum, and exploring strategies for the allocation and potential realignment of resources to maximize impact. The training will also focus on how to adapt approaches and programs to the local context while maintaining their fidelity. The training will also feature examples of plans, offering practical insights for participants. Emphasizing active engagement and discussion, attendees will have opportunities for collaborative learning through breakout room activities and discussions.

Employees of municipalities/townships, regional governments, Indigenous communities, elected officials, as well as local agencies, organizations, and service providers from different sectors participating in the planning process of crime prevention and community safety and well-being plans. |
Students interested in working with communities in crime prevention/community safety, municipal governance, social development, and community safety and well-being planning. |
